Explore life's big questions and the Christian faith in a relaxed, welcoming space. Meet new people and find a community who are asking the same things.
Alpha is an eight-week series running on Friday evenings, with dinner, a short film and honest conversation in a small group. You explore your questions at your own pace. No pressure. No judgement. No charge.
Whether you're curious, sceptical, rethinking, or just plain wondering if there's more, there's a seat for you.
Not sure? Start with the Alpha Launch Night
Start with the Launch Night: a warm welcome, great food, a short talk, and a taste of what Alpha's all about, with zero strings attached. Love it? Come back the next Friday and keep going. Not for you? No worries at all.
Alpha then runs each Friday through to 28 August, plus one special Saturday gathering along the way.

So, what's a night actually like?
DINNER TOGETHER | 7-7:30pm
Every night starts around a table with a proper meal, free, with dietary needs sorted.
Grab a drink, find your group, and unwind after the week.
A SHORT VIDEO | 7:30-8pm
We watch a short video designed to spark conversation, exploring topics like Is there more to life than this?, Who is Jesus?, and How can we have faith?
HONEST CHATS | 8-9pm
The heart of Alpha. An open, no-such-thing-as-a-silly-question chat in your small group. Share your take, hear others, or just listen. Nobody's put on the spot.
ALPHA PUB | 9pm (optional)
Got time? We carry the conversation up the road to Edmondson Tavern for dessert, more food and a drink.

We don't have childcare available, so for little ones it works best as a night off. Teenagers are very welcome to come along. Just register them too.

Two hours, 7–9pm, and we finish on time (plus an optional half-hour at the Alpha Pub).
